Remembering those fallen before us.

As someone who comes from a family of the military, mixed emotions come through me around Remembrance Day.

I wear a poppy strong and proud once the day rolls around, but this time also takes me back to Sept 08' when my baby brother deployed to Afghanistan.

This was a choice he made and volunteered to do, which was amazing and terrifying all at the same time. It was crazy hard to say goodbye to him that Sept... and have to spend the next 6 months with varied communication from him.

Aren't baby photos the best?

Thankfully he came back safe and sound in April 09' and is now in school. I am always proud of him and the decisions he made at such a young age.

So please take some time today to think of those who have risked their lives.. whether or not you agree with the various wars going on in this time and those past, its the men and woman who serve that need your support.

Also check out this amazing video done by post secret about postcards send in around the idea of remembrance day.

Lest we forget!
